I am on a taught Master’s course, meaning that I take classes for most of the year and then carry out an experimental dissertation and write it up over the summer. As I said above, I always knew I wanted to go on to a Ph D and I have always wanted to work in academia and carry out my own research into linguistics and the underlying cognitive architecture of the brain relating to language.
